Okay, I'm late to this thread and I didn't read all the respones -- I wanted to approach the question fresh -- so someone else has probably already said this. But.
Keep a camera on you all the time. All the time. When you see something worth shooting, you can shoot it. Just knowing you
can shoot everything around you will get you looking at the world as if there's a lens in front of you all the time.
Have a cameraphone? There you go.
