I heard the same thing about it you stated Saralonde. I went to borders and read the first two chapters and then skimmed the rest.
I personally find the guy annoying but have read quite a few of his books and watch his photoshop videos. He does know his stuff especially photoshop. I so want to go to photoshop world just once.
