Personal opinion again (I have a few of those..) If there is an easy way to get around the shot I take it, granted, if someone is taking up a large area and I have to go out of my way to get around them then no, I don't care that much and will walk right through. Similarly, if I'm the one taking a photo in a public area and people are walking I don't expect them to stop for me. I'll just stop for a second until they pass. If I have time to take a photo then I have a few extra seconds to let someone walk by. Also, if someone in the background is doing something amusing, all the better. People see pictures of their family all the time, what about that psycho in the back pretending to make out with the Minney Mouse looking shrubbery because they understand how photographic angles work and how it will look in the photo?
