Weclome Headshotz! Nice subjects and idea for a shot. I think this is a nice shot and the flutes surface reflecting the music is a nice touch. I personally would play around with DOF and increase it just a bit making sure the whole length of the flute is in focus. You would still be able to get the notes in the forground in focus while leaving a bit of blur to the background and extreme forground. Maybe try playing around with the angle a bit too so as not to lose the tip of the flute. I think its a good chance to play around with the camera and subject getting different looks with the same subject. Do you have any type of lighting.....even a desk lamp or flashlight can add a bit of light and change a photo entirely.
