My name is Jessica and I came upon DPS a month or two ago while looking for photography tips. great site by the way! I've been taking photos since high school, did black & white film photo stuff in college too, and worked in a commercial lab for a couple years afterwards. I've done a little professional work assisting wedding photographers but mostly enjoy taking photos on my own for fun. Right now I'm in grad school for library and information science in digital imaging, so I can work around cameras (80 MP ones!) and computers and books all day long
The camera I use now is my four-year-old Canon 20D with the kit lens, although I would really like to get a 35mm prime. I miss the 50mm macro lens I had on my Canon A-1
My dream camera would be a full frame outfit and/or a Mamiya 4x5 with an endless supply of film
And one of those phones that look like point-n-shoot cameras on the other end. But for now I abide by the adage: "The best camera is the one you're with."
