Hi Jay,

Definatly the Dandenongs... theres a fantastic lookout called Sky High... or even jump on Puffing BIlly and jump off at random stations and go for a wander...

The great ocean road as others have mentioned and also try the Alpine region up in the top north of the state... theres some fantastic country towns just waiting for some shots....

Gippsland is also another beautiful place, for more of a rainforresty feel...

and if your looking more for the beach/urben shot then try down on the foreshore at Frankston... a fantastic lookout over the bay is called Olivers Hill... You can see the curve of the city around the bay and also get the beautiful lights.
