If you want, you can actually upgrade to the newer
K10D for only $600 after the mail in rebate. This has got a superior sensor, weather sealing - it's basically the avid amateur/pro version of the K100. If you don't work outside a lot and never plan on making bigger prints of your photos, chances are you don't need these extra features, but if you want a body that you can really grow into for only a little extra $ this is the one to get.
