No, I'm not a professional.
7D is Canon answer to Nikon D300 not the 5D (I have one too). I also have a Nikon D40 and Canon first DSLR (D30) as well.
In my test, I wished to see how good the 19 cross-type fp and its AF system compare with 1D 45 or D300 15 cross-type 51 fp. How effective its tracking, 8 fps and ISO 3200+ compare with today's norm and in a real shooting situation for me and not other photographers. Don't want to disappoint myself when its claim isn't up to par.
Don't you think it is better than reading specifications, reviews, feeling the camera body and see does one goes gaga with it?
Both D300/D300s and 7D are the best buys in semi-pro bodies. Depending on which camp (Nikon or Canon) you are on.
