Found this site whilst browsing the web and it has turned out to be a real gem of information! Many thanks to all those who contribute to make it such a great resource.
Anyway, about the photo. This was taken a few months back, but having only just made time to sort my images out, I decided I might have it critiqued.
I took this on:
Canon 350d with 15-55 f3.5/5.6 kit lens, and wihtout any flash
- Shot at f4.0, in aperature priority mode
- ISO 100
I have only done 2 post processing actions to this: Make it B&W and also soften the edges with a Picassa tool.
So, I am looking for feedback on compositon, detail, good and bad points and advice on what else to try in order to improve my portrait skills. Just purchased a 50mm f1.8 that I will be using in coming weeks, so feedback is very useful.
