Get your money up Front
The fact that you won't or can not confirm your suspensions sets the tone of your response.
Take the high road and treat your client with care. If you find out later that you were right, then act....but after thinking over if it is worth the bad press your client will spread about you in your community. Right or wrong, your client will turn it on you when they talk with others.
It has also been my perspective that the public for the most part, believe that the photos are "theirs" for the using any way they want. But, that is another topic.
I found that since I charge enough to cover what I want to make up front, that I can live with it.
If I come across a situation and in my line of work, a lot, I approach the person that is using my work without authorization and ask if they would like to pay for the use or if not take it down.
Whatever you do, the bottom line is that you want to Build your business and if that means sucking it up sometimes, well, that is the price of doing business.
