Hi all :D
I'm Jonathan from Quebec, Canada. I'm only 15, but I've been into photography for two years now. I started with my parents' old film SLR and my school's blackroom, but now outgrew it and saved up for a DSLR to use on my next trip (to Italy) this spring, after many years of abuse of the family's old Sony Cyber-Shot. Got this one at a bargain too.
My weapons of choice are... well for now the only ones I can afford. I have a Canon Rebel XTi 400d and Canon EF 28-90mm f/4-5.6. It isn't the sharpest, but its focal length makes it a fine learning lens for the price. I'm still in the market for a good (or more importantly, cheap) polarizer.
My favorite types of photography are definitely macro and architecture, but I also like to have fun experimenting. I saw some gorgeous shots here with techniques I hadn't even heard about - rear-curtain flash, for instance - and was hoping I might pick up a thing or two or get crits on my own shots.
