I kept looking at these and drooling over them, but I only have GIMP, and the instructions didn't work for Gimp. Sigh. THEN, I discovered an amazing plug-in for Gimp called (strangely enough) Amazing Circles. It does just what you described, but works for those of us with GIMP!
