I actually think this is a great image.
If I had to nit pick, I would say maybe the collar of the t-shirt is slightly awkwardly cut off, maybe just a slight bit more of collar would help. Besides that... maybe if the crop wasn't as square? (Oh and the little pimple(?) on his chin..)
But overall, I think it's fine. Nice focus on the eyes.
