I'm not professional but IMO he looks fine, maybe if he was angled a bit more towards the camera?
It seems a bit hazy - did you do any post processing to this? Also his face seems like it is a little out of focus???
I don't think this is a horrible picture. It's still a keeper.
I did some adjustments:
shadows, highlights, contrast: Hope you don't mind. If you don't like I will delete.
