The potato dumplings are baked in the sauerkraut. It's very, very, tasty. Even if it's not the usual thanksgiving fare, the dumplings make their appearance at all our major holidays.
And seriously, when I asked about either of those items for fresh ones, the guys at the store looked at me like I was growing tentacles or something else equally insane.

So, frozen it is.
