Thanks Michael, it was a seriously windy fall day and the sky was awesome .. It's just the one exposure, I played a bit with shadows and highlights, contrast and sat ..

My father knew the town well, and casually exited into a small alley, and walked away from the whole camp issue. Crazy! He had a lot of inner strength all his life, and even up to the day he died, which was about 4 years ago, at 91, never complained about any of the sacrifices he made for his family. I was lucky to have seen him about 3 days before he died. My mom is still alive, and almost 91. They were married for over 60 years, which in today's standard, is rare. Thanks for the post, and allowing me to reflect on my father, my mother, and life.
Thanks Paul, how nice of you to share your story as well ..

People should be reminded often of wars past and present and the men and women of different countries who made and still make the ultimate sacrifice.
My thoughts are with the families who have lost loved ones and who have sons and daughters, husbands and wives and fathers and mothers serving now. I wish your families a safe return home
Steve
Thx Steve, I hesitated because of the world today, but out of respect to those who have fought and sacrificed I shared my shot
