You're early Nicole.
I'm not 100% sure what's all on the menu, but I know it'll include turkey, pumpkin pie, baked and/or mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, rolls, and possibly potato salad and/or coleslaw. Odds are that there will be many deserts as well.
Every year my mother and grandma plan a sizable dinner for the whole family. Then my grandma ends up making even more than what was planned. It's not uncommon to arrive at her house to find she's cooked an additional turkey or like last year a ham. As well as having way to many pies, breads (pumpkin, banana and the like), cookies, etc. And since half of the family usually brings something (usually deserts) that only adds to the problem.
It's all good food too. Well except the potatoes, they're almost never done on time and aren't really that good. Half the time my grandma doesn't even start baking them till we arrive. She makes great deserts though.
Anyways, it's generally a given that only ¼ to ¾ of the family will show up. So that means left overs, lots of left overs. Not that left overs aren't good, 'cause they are the first go round. Left overs of left overs of left overs however are never good.
No idea if I'll be photographing any of it, but if I do I'll be sure to share.
Hope everybody has a happy Thanksgiving.
