I think I sense what you was going for here by implying these were the leaves that fell from the tree in the back ground.
Great idea except in this capture there are far too many distracting elements especially the shrubs to the left.
Tough call on how to simplfy this composition.
Maybe get down low to the leaves shooting across to the tree in the background. Might try a shallow depth-of -field but keep the leaves in focus and perhaps the blurred image of the tree ( depending on how shallow you can get ) will be just enough to still allow the viewer to make it out.
