To me it looks like your exposure is good and the bee appears to be sharp. I don't do to much close up stuff of insects but I think a tighter crop on the bee would help but in that area you may be limited by your lens. I would think that a good 100mm macro lens would give you the ability to get a tighter cropped image straight out of the camera. I have a 50mm macro I use when I have the chance to do some close up stuff and if I were to get a macro lens today I would definitely go for something more in the 100mm range as with the 50mm I have to get way to close to the subject to get a nice tight crop.
