Thank you very much!

I have a Nikon D40. 55-200mm lens
I'm still in the learning stage as I play and play with settings and take tons of notes to review before I go out and try to shoot.
Setting:
RAW, WB-Auto, Manual settings: f18 @30 seconds.
My WB reading was off, it had a blue haze so in processing I had to change my WB to kill that blue cast.
I use paint shop pro(I'm sure I'm the odd duck as everyone has Adobe) So next I split channel to CMYK and adjusted the curves layer ( played with the settings as I am still learning all this stuff ??)
Then I combined the CMYK image.
Did some layers for black and white clipping points, contrast, brightness, and a little saturation and sharpening.
This doesn't come easy for me. I have books and notes everywhere for help.
The morning was windy with light sprinkles. By the time I got out there and starting shooting, it was a wind storm and the rain was coming down harder.
I took good notes so the next time I will be more prepared and try to reshoot a few feet back and adjust my WB before hand.
The less processing I have to do, the better I feel!
Any suggestions are appreciated TONS!
