Great idea with the sepia toning on the first one - you've inspired me to re-visit mine! 1/20 sec is a bit long for this type of shot though, the highlights are completely blown out. I'd either close down your aperture a bit or increase your shutter speed.

The 2nd one almost has a "newspaper" B&W effect, a little noisy but much closer! The focus seems sharper.

Keep trying! I've been out 4-5 nights now and I'm still trying to figure out the best settings. I wish I had access to a telescope!
