Damn the Strobist! I tellya, the ST-E2 is a
perfect fit on a G9. High iso sux, though.
If you don't want to blow $500 on a G11, a used G7 (no RAW) goes for around $350, a used G9 for $400-$450. You won't save much on a used G10, though. G prices, for some weird reason, tend to go up for a while after they're discontinued, not down. Not sure I'd recommend going back farther than the G7, since the G6 was unstabilized. Then again, it also had RAW, a flip-out screen, and remote capability, so you picks your battles.
