I don't think Panasonic has any tethered shooting capability in any of its cameras. Remember, the USB communication between the camera and the computer for anything other than getting the photos off the camera is going to be a vendor-specific protocol, so the Canon/Nikon solutions probably aren't going to work.
Your best bet might be to see if there's some kind of remote/cable-release for your camera that you can purchase or
rig up, or to use the timer.
