I think most of my problems with the Flickr integration have been due to user error
although the fact that if you delete a photo on Flickr it kind of renders the Lightroom sync useless is not really expected behaviour.
One thing I've noticed is that it seems to render the files a bit quicker in terms of using external plugins.
