if you have a camera that supports RAW format shoot it in that. and if you don't know what RAW is or how to use it shoot RAW+JPEG fine. you'll love it when you know how to use it.

use a tripod. think about the time of day. do you want a sunrise, sunset, night photo, a normal day photo? if your going the latter, still best to shoot it at the start or the end of the day, prevents big black ugly harsh shadows. =]*
