I've heard a LOT of good stuff about the Tokina 11-16mm, it's a constant 2.8 which is pretty fast for a wide angle. I got to play with it for the first time last night, and was pretty pleased with the "build feel" I don't know how much it costs, but I do know that the shorter a zoom range you have, the better the image quality will be, all else being equal. Check DSLRgear.com and see what their reviews say, there is also a Sigma 10-20mm that's worth looking at.

Panasonic Lumix TZ-3 Yeah, I have optical image stabilization and a 10X lens, it also fits in my pocket.
