I'd recommend Tokina 11-16 F/2.8 though.. It offers slightly wider than Tokina 12-24 with compromising less range... However, the static F/2.8 is reasonably good coz it offers more stop down for better sharpness at same smaller aperture (i.e. at F/11, 11-16 got 4 stops already while 12-24 only got 3 stops). I'm also using a D90 and this lens is perfect!
The price is roughly similar with 12-24... But seriously, go for this one. You'd rarely use the missing 17-24 range for landscapes though ^^
