This is not really a joke, BUT, I tell the kids - the ones old enough to understand, I know a secret, I egg them on and then say Did you know that Daddy wears diapers! - usually a real smile. I also have a woopie cushion, works for everyone, EVEN The adults. I also ask the kids to sing the alphabet, they have relaxed faces then and are usually very proud that they know the alphabet.
For women, I say thing slike I wish I had your skin, something that they usually never hear (I never mention the eyes or smile).
I also photographed a teen who REFUSED to smile. So I flat out sd I am gonna get you to smile, no matter what. And the one thing that worked, I swallowed some air and let out a burp! LOL Actually that prob works with kids too!
