Whatever people say about it having less features the E-P1, Pen and also Panasonic's GF1 are a breakthrough in the camera technology.
One has to agree that the micro four thirds has enabled DSLRs to be extra compact, so much so that they are the sizes never seen before.
So let this technology advance a bit more. To tell you the truth, i won't lie but when I first saw Pen E P1 I fell in love with that camera. For me it was the finest "small" DSLR out there. Then Panasonic released its G F1, that camera too is a wonder like no other.
Must say both of these have intoduced a big change in the camera.
If you are looking to buy E P1 or G F1 you should remember several things. Firstly, this tech is new.....so you'd actually be trying out something totally new and i mean totally new. Secondly, Oly has introduced 3 lens and Panasonic has 5 lens although adapter *is* available for them too. Only 5 lens....hmm....should think about it. Most people don't stick with kit lens of their DSLRs and "move on".
So wait on a little while....see what more has to come up on this tech. You see the manufacturers are waiting for the consumers to make a move whereas the consumers are waiting for the manufacturers to make a move and do more about this tech, but dun't worry....more is due on this tech.
Hope that i was helpful
P.S. I only read your first post and wrote this reply.....so if i contradicted or offended anyone in any case please don't jump over me...... thanks
