I have a Pentax K200 camera. The first few times I experimented in RAW, I would get a virus warning when downloading my picutres. I switched over to JPEG and it seemed OK. However, for a long while now, whenever I download my photos onto my laptop, I get the little virus warning popping up again. Sometimes it will say there are only 2, sometimes it will have as many as 10. They aren't viruses per se, but more like spyware or something like that. Every time it happens it states that there is minimal to no risk.
I'm just wondering if this is something that is/was in the program that came with the camera, or if it is in fact something ON my camera. How can I permanently remove it? It's annoying that it happens every time I download pics from my camera. Does anyone else have this problem (with this same type of camera or a different one)? What can I do, aside from doing a virus scan every time I dowload pics (which can be quite frequently)?
