I don't know where you heard there were 900 linux virus out there. My last count was barely 100. Either way, just because Linux virus exists, does not mean they are adaptable or easily executed on a Linux machine. It amazes me how many "professionals" there are. Just like when digital cameras sprung up. Now there are more "professional" photographers.
Also, don't diss or stereotype programmers. After all, they are the ones that make it possible to CREATE "professional computer persons".
And don't assume that just because I'm a "Linux Guy", that I don't know anything about the other OS's. I've programmed extensively on other systems. Our current network has 3 Macs and 6 MS systems on it so be careful at pointing fingers. I just happen to think Linux is the BEST of the three.
BTW, you're a professional and you don't know anything about scripts? What about GUI, Java, VBS script?/ I mean, come on. these should be intervenes for a pro.
I only mentioned scripts because you cautioned about going to web sites that can infect a person. So I thought you knew about them. Sorry.
I've also noticed the MS guys are easily offended. Don't be.
P.S..... All in fun okay? If you could see my face, you'd know I was smiling :-) :-) :-)

I don't wear panties. In fact I don't wear anything. Don't know what your problem is and why you want to create them, but I only tried to help someone with a virus problem.
I don't have anything against some programmers. It's the attitude that you're displaying that is common among them and what I dislike. Just my opinion and personal experiences. You may have a little more tech knowledge than many but doesn't mean you are more intelligent.
I am not a Microsoft guy, I just try to keep their stuff running for my clients. Business is booming because of MS and their shortcomings. I keep so busy with MS stuff that I don't have to take the time to learn programming etc in order to stay busy. I love my independance and I love what I do. I hope you do too. That's what it's all about.
If you take a moment to check the link in my prior posting you'll see that there are over 800 (I didn't say 900) Linux viruses. But who really cares? You'll be convinced of whatever it is you want to be convinced of. Kudos to you.
I know what a script IS, I just don't care about how they are programmed and all. It doesn't affect my ability to do my job effectively.
So, I think I'll make an executive decision and give myself the rest of the day off and go do some shooting rather than sit here and talk shop. Have fun, no hard feelings, I'm smiling too.
