It's not uncommon that I'll use Google Street View to check out potential photo spots that are near my house. It's pretty random, but I've found some interesting things within a few miles of my house this way.
So, I thought it would be interesting to use Google's Street View and take a "photo" of your favorite places (that are connected to a road

)
For instance, I've shot a certain group of power lines dozens of times, so here is my
Street Viewograph:
Found on: Broadmoor Dr, San Ramon, CA, United States
Feel free to '
compose' the screen-cap, but I would say don't bother with Photoshop, as it is property of Google.
Remember, to take a screen shot on a Mac, you press Command+Shift+4 and create a marquee of what you want. The image will appear on your desktop.
On a PC, you press Alt+Print Screen, which saves it to your clipboard. It then must be pasted into an image program like Photoshop, Gimp, Paintshop, or even just MS Paint.
Here's a link to
Google Maps
To get to Street View, enter the city (or address if you know it) of your location, and place the little yellow guy on the street in view of the image subject.
Let's see your favorite places!
