Not sure how useful this would be to you, but since you're already on Flickr, what about trying
Scrapblog? It has templates and text and you can import your pictures from Flickr and save your whole creation as a jpg. The only problem was that I couldn't see a way to crop pictures if you wanted them square or something when you make your own template. But it might be something to look at (especially since it's a free online thing
