after seing the original i see why you tried B&W. Its amazing just how bright that seat and fender are. I think in the b&w i would try selcting the seat and fender and bring the saturation down just a bit to match the rest of the photo.
I like the B&W better...seems more like an old photo rather than just a old tricycle.
