i'm no photography expert or master but i have a couple of comments about your photo (if you don't mind).
i'm a bit uncomfortable with the amount of space eaten up by your foreground - composed of the tree and the flower bed beside it. i feel like it's covered too much of the scene. plus, the drooping branches and leaves also (sadly) adds to the "eaten up" space.
the right-most tree-trunk, i feel, could've been cropped out of the shot to allow more of the man-made lake (and, maybe, other boaters on it) to be seen. it adds just a bit too much shadow to the shot. the tree on its left would've been enough, considering you can see its texture.
