Like I said before I haven't had any problems yet, so I'm just guessing here, and not challenging your thoughts at all. I guess I'm thinking along the lines of a jar with water in it. If you keep the lid on will it dry out as fast as with the lid off?
I bet if a person could score a lot of those silica gel things, and put their lens, and silica in a big zip lock freezer bag with the caps off it might dry out kinda fast. It wood still be in a some what dust free area, but still have some room to breath.
Hey.... how about a hair dryer set on low. Just enough to get the lens warm, but not hot?
I'm gonna be in big trouble if I get moisture in any of my lens.
