I see a lot of people talking about how "blunt" and unnatural flash looks. Just to point out the second link in my original post, if you know how to use a flash well, you are definitely able to make it look natural. I was blown away by how natural these shots looked when I first saw
this website, which has a whole section on making flash look natural.
