A Picture of many colours proclaims images of many Thoughts on Flickr - Photo Sharing!
The shot above was done by placing a DVD flat on a standard piece of A4, then lighting it from above using a normal desk lamp. The shot had to be at just the right angle to catch the colours. I wet the DVD and managed to push the water droplets into some sort of order. No flash, tripod or any other fancy studio style equipment was used.

- 1 x RAW exposures
- Imported into Lightroom 2
- Cropped (the kit lens is pretty limited in terms of macro shots so I had to crop quite a bit)
- Temperature increased as the white balance wasn't quite correct
- Adjustment brush used to paint out the surrounding areas to black (exp -4 & brightness - 200)
- Adjustment brush used to brighten the edge of the CD (exp +0.20)
- Dust spot removal done on various blemishes
- Clarity, vibrance and blacks increased to really bring out the colours
- Saved out as Tiff and opened in Photoshop to resize and sharpen
