I was inspired by a book i saw on someone's desk called "The Machinery of Life". This is an image of a kidney cell I took today (7/23). The red blobs are mitochondria (the "power plant"), the blue is the nucleus (the "command center") and the green lines are the skeletal structures of the cell. It's amazing and awe-inspiring to me to think that we are made up these elegant little machines...
