I'm also taking a series of shots this week for the
7 Days group on Flickr. I couldn't make the first couple of days so I'm just contributing five shots this time round and am using the theme of "The Five Senses".
Today's one is "taste". The link to this assignment? Humour is definitely a matter of taste!

I converted to monochrome using The Gimp by splitting into RGB channels and then blending them. For this shot, I think I had the green channel as the base, the blue channel in screen mode and the red channel in overlay mode (both partly transparent). The bottom part was rather dark so I also added a masked copy of the red channel in screen mode, which lightened things up.
