What is HDR is HIgh Dynamic Range.

A digital camer is limited in how wide a brightness range it can capture. Most digital cameras run abot 8 -10 stops range. (From total black to total white).

HDR is the process where one takes several captures of the same thing some under exposed and some overexposed and possible one normally exposed. HDR software then combines these captures and compresses the images into a normal range that look like it has a wider range.

Have I totally confused you?
