Default Assignment: A Mistake

I was trying to take photos of a large cactus that flowers only at night several times a year. I am new to DSLR photography, and I didn't really understand the settings, so I was just playing with settings and shot this pic. I really love the way it turned out with the detail of the stamens and the edge of the petals. Most of my other photos have a yellow cast to them because of an orange street light nearby. This photo I used a small LED torch to illuminate the flowers. So while it was a mistake it was also a learning experience. This is my first post.
