Yup, great start to the year. Classic mistake of not resetting the camera settings after previous use...ISO was stuck at 1600 and shutter speed was too low as a result of Aperture Priority and Centre Weighted metering. Took a quick shot of friend's daughter because she was pouting. It wasn't until I checked on photos later at night that I realised it was *quite* over-exposed. As I had shot in RAW mode, I pulled back some highlight details in post-process, cloned out distracting catch lights in her eyes as a result of camera movement, and fiddled around with the white balance and that's it. This turned out to be a rather nice high-key, suggestive portrait.
