If they ask for a picture, sometimes I'll email them a Low Res, but normally if they don't ask I won't bring it up. Because....if the newspaper publishes it, couple sees it and wants to purchase a photo, that's extra money to you. Make sure if it's a daily twice weekly or weekly paper. If it's a daily, they might not use it, as yesterday's news is old news. But weekly and twice weeklies don't worry so much about daily deadlines that normally a daily does.
