Hi,

I am an old man who has some distant experience in 35 mm film photography, just as a hobby. I would like to get into the digital age, and have been thinking about what equipment I want.

I have a Mamiya/Sekor 1000 DTL 35 mm camera and standard lens. I also have a Quantaray 85-210 zoom lens and a Vivitar 28 mm wide angle lens. Instead of buying a point-and-shoot camera, I am thinking maybe I could start with an SLR and use the existing lenses.

My problem is that I do not know what brands will accept my threaded-type lenses. Also, I do not know if these lenses are even compatible with digital SLRs. Any ideas out there?

Roy
