Hi, everyone. My name is Chris and I like to take pictures...

I got my interest in photography in the early 1980's in high school. I got a job taking B&W portraits and developing B&W film to pay the bills through high school and college, and continued shooting B&W and color film for many years after. About 10 years ago...film just got WAY to expensive to shoot, so I bought a digital P&S camera, and fell in love with photography again. Ever since I have drooled over DSLR cameras online and in stores everytime I see one.

I finally took the plunge in February of this year, and bought an Olympus E-520 with 2 lenses...both Zuiko Digital lenses, one is a 14-42mm f/4-5.6 and the other is a 40-150 f/4-5.6. I am thoroughly hooked. I've already shot 1,500+ exposures with it, and I love every split-second of exposure time.

It's been a real blast getting out and shooting again. And since I now live in the Eastern Sierra of California AND have a gorgeous 5 year old girl, I always have something beautiful to take photos of.

I hope to learn a lot from you folks, and maybe even have the opportunity to help one of you with something...who knows. I'm gonna go post a couple images in the Share Your Shots section, now...as a proper introduction...

See you around the forums!
