Hi, I'm Jackie Wimbush. I live in Ontario and I've worked as a graphic designer for many years in the horse racing world.
Until the digital age, I found photography frustrating and relied on professional photographers for all ad shots (even though I did very well in my college photography course).
I bought my first digital 8 or 9 years ago - an Olympus Evolt 300. I loved it and used it for ad work when I could but found it wasn't powerful enough to capture the speed of horse racing well. It sure took good care of me though.
I've recently bought my dream camera, a Nikon d2h with a f2.8 18-200mm Nikkor Zoom. Love it! Don't know how to use it!!! But I'm learning. It is not so forgiving as my Olympus but oooooh so powerful.
I am so happy to find the Digital Photography School site and look forward sharing knowledge.
