Marquette may be the biggest "city" in the Upper Peninsula, but at about 20,000 people it sure seems like a small town after years of living in Atlanta (also seems a bit chilly!)
First image is the lighthouse from the park along the Lake Superior shoreline. The second is Front Street--one of the two main streets in town. The third is the Ore Dock -- this one is no longer in use, but another just outside of town is still used to load iron ore on to lakers which sail to other Great Lakes ports. The fourth one is the downtown from the Lower Harbor region (it was taken looking back at town from the park that is near the ore dock).
Hope you enjoy!
