sir, may i know where's the location of the focal length button? im an owner of E-520 and i'm quite sure that i don't have that button... are you pertaining to the AEL/AFL button perhaps?
the rotating thingy is the diopter adjustment, i really dont know what's the use of this but it just makes your eyes adopt to what the camera sees... (IMO)
