Hi All,
I first studied photography 30+ years ago at school, where I played with a Canon ftb SLR, and learned not only about photography, exposure, and composition, but also developing and printing. I kitted myself out with a Praktica MTL3 (not as nice as the Canon - but I had a limited budget), and gradually added lenses, filters, a decent flash, extension rings and convertor, and then darkroom equipment too. However, with family life, it became less practical to pursue, and was replaced with a series of P&S cameras, and then digital P&S.
My daughter re-kindled my love of photography when she got a D40x a couple of years back. Although she lives in Canada at the moment, she is sending the camera back home with me after we visit her in a couple of months, so I'll have a few months that I can 'borrow' it. I'd love eventually to save enough money to get one myself - maybe as a retirement gift to myself (only 20 years to go). I've got a few photos on microstock sites, but I don't think I'm going to make my fortune that way!!
Grumby
